The Marin County Bicycle Coalition is asking donors to help replace two worn-out trailers that carry bikes and gear to students across the county.
MCBC is seeking to raise $30,000 by the end of September to purchase both trailers. One will serve Cory's Ride, which provides bikes, helmets and gear to students who otherwise would not have access to a bicycle. The second will support MCBC's bike education program, which teaches thousands of Marin students each year to ride safely and confidently.
The trailers are used to transport bikes and equipment to communities across the county. MCBC said its current trailers have reached the end of their useful lives.
Supporting youth cycling
Through Cory's Ride, MCBC provides students with bikes, helmets and other gear while helping young riders gain confidence and access to transportation and recreation.
The coalition's broader bike education program works with thousands of Marin students each year, teaching skills intended to help them ride safely.
How to give
Donors who contribute $2,500 or more will have their name or company logo displayed on one of the new trailers. Contributions of any size can be made through MCBC's online donation page.
MCBC hopes the fundraising campaign will allow it to put both new trailers on the road this fall and continue bringing its youth cycling programs to communities throughout Marin County.
