San Rafael High takes its 5-0 record into Redwood Empire Conference (REC) Bay Division league play Friday, Oct. 9, traveling to Santa Rosa for a 7 p.m. kickoff, according to MaxPreps.
The conference’s published schedule lists San Rafael in the Bay Division for 2026. The opener at Santa Rosa (2-3) will test whether their unbeaten non-league run translates against a Panthers team that has won its last two games by a combined 84-38, according to Santa Rosa’s MaxPreps schedule.
The Bulldogs’ most recent outing was a 40-0 home win over Hercules on Oct. 2. Quarterback Freddy Yah threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-12 win over Bethel on Sept. 25, according to a MaxPreps game report.
San Rafael posted a 13-0 shutout at Kennedy on Sept. 11.
Santa Rosa opened 0-3 but has since beaten Novato 42-28 and Vallejo 42-10.
Marin Catholic hosts Windsor in Adobe opener
Marin Catholic (2-3) opens REC Adobe Division play against Windsor (5-0) at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Kentfield, according to the school’s official schedule.
The matchup is a rematch of last year's 28-27 Marin Catholic victory.
Marin Catholic earned a 21-7 win over St. Mary's of Stockton on Sept. 26.
