Guardrail Financial will cut the ribbon on a San Rafael office at 165 North Redwood Drive, Suite 100, on Thursday, Sept. 10.

The San Rafael Chamber of Commerce is hosting the ribbon-cutting ceremony from 5 to 6 p.m., with Guardrail Financial's own grand-opening reception continuing until 7 p.m., according to the firm's invitation. Admission is free. Vice Mayor Rachel Kertz will deliver remarks, according to the Chamber's event listing.

The financial planning and insurance firm is led locally by Anthony Trias, a certified financial planner with more than 17 years of experience who lives in Marin County. Trias heads a seven-person team at the San Rafael location, which joins a second office in Walnut Creek. The firm is affiliated with Equitable Advisors.

As of the firm's own event invitation, signage at the Suite 100 address still read "Stonebridge Financial Group," suggesting Guardrail's arrival may be a transition or rebrand of an existing practice rather than an entirely new tenancy.
