The San Rafael Police Department added two officers to its ranks Monday, Sept. 7, swearing in Aziz Majid and Colton Prieto at a ceremony that also recognized two internal promotions.

Both officers have begun an intensive field training program, the department said on X.

The ceremony also marked promotions for Chris Fuller to sergeant and Anna Fulgado to lead dispatcher.

Majid and Prieto are the fourth and fifth officers sworn in at SRPD since June. The department swore in Officers Julia Rivera, Jerred Delatorre and Eber Escobar on June 3 after they completed 21 weeks at the Santa Rosa Public Safety Training Center Police Academy.

The city's fiscal year 2026–2027 budget allocates $34.4 million to the police department and identifies an estimated $2 million per year in unfunded staffing needs citywide, according to the Marin Independent Journal.

SRPD has not said which academy Majid and Prieto attended or when they are expected to complete field training.
