Marin Catholic held off Terra Linda 4-3 in a tight MCAL girls tennis match Thursday, Sept. 24.

The Wildcats' No. 1 doubles team of Natalie Martin and Liney Hachman won at No. 1 doubles against the Trojans' Isabella Weinstein and Kristina Lee. Martin and Hachman took the first set 6-4, dropped the second 4-6, then rallied to win the super tiebreaker 10-7, as reported by the Marin Independent Journal.

Terra Linda picked up a doubles win of its own.

Brooklyn O'Bryan and Chelsea Reilly won at No. 3 doubles for the Trojans, taking the first set 7-5 and surviving a second-set tiebreaker 7-6 (3). Two of the reported results, the Wildcats' No. 1 doubles win and the Trojans' No. 3 doubles win, went to tiebreakers, though the rest of the match, including all singles results, was not reported.

The loss is a setback for Terra Linda, the MCAL's preseason No. 4 seed, as the regular season heads toward the team playoffs, which begin Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. The championship is set for Oct. 30 at Novato at 4 p.m., according to the MCAL playoff schedule. Individual singles and doubles playoffs follow Nov. 2-4, hosted by Branson.

Both programs have recent all-league talent. Marin Catholic placed Curistine Zuber and Ariana Bazan on the spring 2026 MCAL first-team singles list. Terra Linda's Kylie Lee earned second-team singles honors, and Christina Lee received honorable mention in doubles.

Martin, who earned honorable mention in doubles in spring 2025, paired with Hachman for Thursday's win at No. 1 doubles.
