San Rafael's Freitas Park Splash Pad closes Monday, Sept. 7, ending the free water play season for the year.
The city announced the closing date on Aug. 31, giving families a final few days to visit.
After the splash pad closes, the Terra Linda Community Pool at 670 Del Ganado Road offers recreation swim through October. The city said the extended schedule gives swimmers more time in the water as warm weather continues into fall. Once recreation swim wraps up, the pool will stay open through mid-November for lap swim and other programming before closing for the season. It is scheduled to reopen in February 2027.
